Negative Affirmations

Negative Affirmations (N/A) is an anthology started in early 2020 as an intervention into the world of ever-present visual stimuli. The series’ visuals are the result of experiments with vertical footage produced by smartphone cameras, game engine animation, and VFX software. N/A embraces vertical video’s media specificity , building upon the format’s ability to fit into one’s palm. The aim is to present new perspectives that are usually impossible in traditional, horizontal cinema.

Sound-wise, the series offers a play with synthesis, grains, and samples, intentionally disintegrating the structures and soundscapes of blockbuster cinema and popular music.
